Dallas beats Calgary 4-1
Calgary, Alberta - pokes, pokes and more pokes. Dallas utilized the end of their sticks and were rewarded for it. The game was evenly played on both sides but it was the second chance opportunities that Dallas used to win the game.Calgary's goalie BorcoBaby made a lot of great saves but it was the second and third efforts by Dallas that resulted in goals. Defenseman Rain controlled the play well in his own end and dished out some big hits to steady the defense for Calgary. Rain even sent a nice pass to Obey for the Flames only goal of the night. With Left winger Chislett having a hard time finding room around the Stars defense the offense struggled.
A lot of the play for both teams was a neutral zone battle, as both team's defense were playing solid in their own end. Coupled with some old fashioned perserverance and a little bit of luck Dallas scored early and often. Calgary put up a good fight but their was little error from the Dallas team.
Goalie BorcoBaby said, " what can you do? i made the inital saves and tried to cover the puck but they jumped on the loose pucks so quickly. that's just the way it goes sometimes"
